Zusammenfassung:	A vehicle seat assembly (10) that includes a seat cushion (16) having at least one recess (110) disposed thereon. The vehicle seat assembly (10) also has a plurality of proximity sensor assemblies (40), each including a base and an upper slide member supported for movement toward and away from the base in response to a condition of the seat cushion (16). The vehicle seat assembly (10) includes at least one seat cushion insert (108) disposed within the recess (110) of the seat cushion (16) to reinforce and protect the cushion and sensor assemblies in areas of high load or wear.
