Lifting mast for an industrial truck

A lifting mast for an industrial truck, preferably for a reach truck, has a fixed mast (12) and at least one extending mast (13, 14). The at least one extending mast (13, 14) can be raised relative to the fixed mast (12) by means of the force of at least one lifting cylinder (17, 20). At least one lifting cylinder (17), as viewed in the longitudinal direction of the industrial truck, is arranged within the extent of the fixed mast (12), on the side of the extending mast (13, 14) facing away from the load. In the case of the conventional design of a lifting mast, the latter has a fixed mast (12), a first extending mast (13) and a second extending mast (14). At least one lifting cylinder (20), as viewed in the longitudinal direction of the industrial truck, is then located within the extent of the first extending mast, on the side of the fixed mast facing the load. Preferably, the operating cylinder and/or a power or hydraulic line or chain are confined within both the width and length of the fixed part. Preferably, the moving part(s) of the mast are provided on the outside of the fixed mast to provide better vision for the operator. Preferably, the fixed and first moving mast parts have a longitudinal extent at least twice the diameter of guide rollers.
