Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to machine press tools which are used in stamping operations, and are commonly known as "punches". The invention provides a machine press tool for performing stamping operations on a blank of material, comprising a table (10) having a surface for supporting a blank, a toolhead operable to perform a stamping operation and moveable towards and away from the supporting surface of the table (10), at least one stop member (25, 30) located on the table (10) and moveable over the table (10) along an axis (26,31 fig.2), a locking device (60) to lock the stop member (25, 30) at a plurality of positions along the axis (26, 31) to define an offset position from the toolhead, at least one position sensor (100) for registering the position of the or each stop member (25, 30) along the axis (26, 31), and a control system to receive positional information from the position sensor (100) and to actuate the locking device (60) when the or each stop member (25, 30) reaches a predetermined position along the axis (26, 31).
