Canterburies &c. -Boxes or cases for containing music are detachably attached beneath the key-bed of a piano or organ, leaving a clear space between them f o r the knees and feet of the player. Each box b is hinged to a shelf e, supported on brackets f secured to a frame g which is hooked on to the instrument by a catch-piece h, or secured to it by angleplates. The boxes are provided with handles i and stops comprising either curved rods l carrying nuts k, or pieces of webbing, to hold them when tilted forwards. According to the Provisional Specification the boxes may be permanently attached to the piano or organ. |
