Zusammenfassung: | 2887. Cox, F. J. Feb. 8. Incandescent g a s and vapour burners. - The gaseous or vapour mixture is regulated by passing it between two adjustable conical surfaces. In one arrangement, an inverted burner c, Fig. 1, and the enlarged closed end a' of the screwed supply tube a are provided with corresponding conical surfaces, and the gaseous mixture issuing through lateral apertures b in the end a is regulated by screwing the burner on the tube a. In a second arrangement, a longflame burner of channel cross-section is connected to a cylindrical mixing-device containing balls &c., and is provided with a ridge-shaped part t, Fig. 6, having lateral holes u and with two laterally adjustable plates r having outwardly and inwardly inclined flanges r' with a nickel gauze between them, the holes in the plates r through,which the securing- screws pass being elongated to allow the 'slot between the flanges to be adjusted. |
