Zusammenfassung: | 18,632. Bisson, J. J. Aug. 25. Strainers are arranged in connection with buckets &c. for the purpose of retaining solid matter when liquids, such as paint and whitewash, are poured into or out of the bucket. A strainer a, Fig. 1, provided with perforations in the bottom and sides, is arranged to fit the bucket b, the handles c of the strainer serving to support the strainer on the rim of the bucket. In pouring liquid into the bucket, solid matter is collected in the strainer. In the arrangement shown in Fig, 2, the strainer d is fixed to the bucket, and serves to retain solid matter when liquid is poured from the bucket. The strainer only covers part of the bucket mouth, and is curved so that its free end stands above the level of the bucket rim. To attach the strainer, tongues g, formed in or attached to a rim f on the strainer, are passed through slits in the bucket and are then sent round so as to clip the strainer to the bucket. Other suitable means for attaching the strainer may be employed. |
