Fastenings.-Relates to adjustable clips for locking various parts of motor or other cycles, applicable also for attaching bells to vehicles, and name plates to tubes, and for fixing the adjusting-cups of bearings. Fig. 2 shows the clip fitted to the head of a cycle. A split clip A, formed with ears A , is fitted with a transverse bolt B on which is pivoted a lever D with a cam-shaped part D'. When in the position shown in full lines, the cam contracts the clip on the head. The clip is opened by swinging back the lever as indicated in dotted lines. The lever may be pivoted on a stirrup &c. fixed to one end of the clip, or may be pivoted on a pin passing through both ears A', Fig. 9, in which case it is formed with lateral cam surfaces D . The clip may consist of a flexible band.
