Card games.-A pack of 49 playing cards bearing representations of foodstuffs, fuel. and so forth, controlled under a rationing scheme, consists of 12 suits of four cards each, and a master card designated " Kybosh." Each card is printed at the top with an indicator name which is also printed small and sidewise at the top left-hand, and at the bottom right-hand corners. Some of the suits may be omitted from the pack or additional suits may be introduced The game is to secure tricks by oneself or by bluffing others into making tricks. Thus the caller may challenge another player for a card who, although possessing the card, may deny possession. The caller may then, if he thinks proper, call the Bluff by which the cards of the suit are placed on the table. The master card carries with it certain privileges, and when played is pooled with a card from each of the other plavers. The pool is shuffled and dealt out according to defined rules. |
