description 1291582 Self developing cameras EASTMAN KODAK CO 15 Oct 1969 [15 Oct 1968] 50691/69 Heading G2A A camera for exposing and developing photosensitive material, e.g. transparency units, comprises means for holding the photo-sensitive material in the focal plane of the camera during scene exposure, support means movable from a first position spaced from the photo-sensitive material during exposure to a second position adjacent to the photo-sensitive material to support the material during development and means for spreading a developing agent across the photosensitive material after exposure to develop a latent image thereon. A transparency T is exposed by moving shutter release lever 15 downward which pivots shutter drive plate 16 so that shutter release arm 16a trips shutter blade arm 17 to exposure the transparency through lens 18. Upon release of shutter release lever 15, an end 19a of a double exposure prevention lever 19 enters a notch in the lever 15, and a platen 12 is rotated about pivot 25 to a position adjacent the focal plane to support the transparency, where it is held by a latch 38. A slide mechanism 14 having a roller 13 is slid to the left to rupture a pod 10 containing processing fluid and to spread the fluid across the transparency. The slide mechanism 14 then engages an arm 23a of retraction gear 23 which causes platen 12 to be lowered and mechanism 14 enters a storage chamber C to bring another transparency unit into position during the return movement of the slide mechanism. Also during the return movement, mechanism 14 engages a roller 21 of a cocking lever arm 22a to cock shutter drive plate 16 by rotating it clockwise and double exposure prevention lever 19 is also rotated clockwise. Finally, mechanism 14 engages striker ear 24a of double exposure release mechanism 24 which withdraws end 19a from engagement with the notch of the shutter release lever.
