description | 1,259,900. Cattle table. P. H. A. MILES. 20 Oct., 1969 [21 Oct., 1968], No. 51396/69. Heading A5R. A cattle table which may form part of a cattle crush comprises a flat deck 1 hinged to front and rear supports, the front support including a wheeled assembly, and the front and rear supports each being movable between forward and rearward positions relative to the deck. A draw bar 5 is secured to a wheel axle 6 of the wheel assembly and has a lever 7 projecting from the inner end of the draw bar at an obtuse angle. The front support comprises a triangular structure 9, one apex 10 of which is hinged to the bottom of the deck 1 near the centre thereof, and a second apex 8 of which is hinged to the lever 7 of the wheel assembly. The rear support comprises a trestle 13 hinged to the undersurface of the deck 1 and having a continuous base 14. The table is movable between a transport position (Fig. 1) to a horizontal position (Figure 5, not shown) to form a cattle table or a vertical position (Figure 4, not shown) to form the wall of a crush, by moving the two supports to different positions. |
