[Also in Division F1] In an I.C engine cranks 18 on two cam-shafts 16 are driven from a crank 20 on a crank-shaft driven shaft 19 by a single link 27, and the cranks 18, 20 allow relative shaft movements. A flat-sided eccentric pin (34), Fig. 4 (not shown), on each cam-shaft 16, or also shaft 19, engages with radial play a corresponding slot (33) in a pin (32) in an eccentric sleeve (30) journalled in a bearing 21. The sleeve (30) is journalled directly in the link 27 and the pin (34) is detachably bolted to the shafts 16 or also shaft 19. The bearings 21 for the cranks 18, 20 are in a separate frame 22 bolted through a block 25 and slot 26 to the engine block 100.
