Improvements relating to windscreen wipers

In a windscreen wiper in which the harness is pivotally connected to the backing strip of the wiper blade at two or more longitudinally spaced points each pivotal connection is formed by a hook 12 on the harness 4 which extends through an opening in the backing strip 10 and engages an anchor member 16 e.g. a pin of circular cross-section. The hook is formed with shoulders 14 so shaped as to allow a limited rocking movement of the blade. In an alternative embodiment the wiper blade comprises a body formed with two laterally spaced longitudinal grooves in each of which a wiping lip of rubber is anchored, the body being preferably of plastics or rubber material more rigid than the rubber of the wiping lips.
