Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a method for changing the momentum of a solid (10) in space, more particularly a piece of debris (10), comprising the steps of irradiating said solid (10) using at least one high-intensity laser pulse in order to cause ionization of a portion of the solid (10) to a plasma state; and irradiating said portion of the solid (10) in the plasma state using a sequence of low-intensity laser pulses in order to heat said portion of the solid (10) and cause ejection of ejecta (16) from said solid (10). The invention further relates to a system that can be used to implement the method.
