Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to an electromagnetic densimeter whose float 3, partially submerged in a fluid 2 whose density is to be measured, carries a permanent magnet 7 which can move axially with respect to a stationary coil 10, and which comprises a position sensor, carried by the float and the enclosure 1 containing the said fluid, and a control and processing circuit 14 for supplying the coil with a current adjusted to return the float to a reference position, and to deduce from this current a measurement of the density of the said fluid. According to the invention, the position sensor is constituted jointly by the permanent magnet 7 and a Hall-effect sensor 12 disposed axially opposite. Application in particular to measuring the percentage of alcohol or titres.
