Zusammenfassung:The horizontal continuous casting method for metals which is the subject of the invention consists in the metal being received in an ingot mould 3 and, simultaneously with its extraction, the semi-finished product 8 being given a rotational movement, the extraction length per revolution being less than the pitch of a helicoid (screw surface) produced on the end wall 4. The device for carrying out the method comprises a receiving volume 1, and ingot mould 3, a conduit 6 for metal, a subassembly 7 for adjusting the metal flow rate, and a mechanism 9 for rotation and extraction of the semi-finished product 8. The ingot mould 3 has a removable end wall 4 with an active surface 5 produced in the form of a helical turn.
