description Fuel from a tank enters an inlet to a filter and flows via an non-return valve to a counter. A bypass channel containing an non-return valve allows fuel to flow to the counter directly from the inlet. The counter comprises a magnetic index driving a magnetic follower from which an analogue or digital display of total flow can be displayed on the vehicle instrument panel. The counter outlet supplies the injection pump for a diesel engine. A return flow inlet from the injector feeds a degassing chamber (4) with a gas exhaust controlled by a float operated valve in a swan neck pipe. Fuel from this chamber flows via a pressure control valve to the injector pump circuit. Un by-pass 24 comprenant un clapet taré 25, 26, 27 permet de court-circuiter automatiquement le filtre 2, mais pas le compteur, pour un degré de colmatage choisi.
