Its chemical composition is within the following weight ranges of sugars: 8-15% glucuronic acid; 40-50% glucose; 35-45% mannose; 5-15% rhamnose; and 3-9% arabinose; it also contains 1-5% acetyl and 2-7% pyruvate groups.
