Le fil-électrode faisant l'objet de l'invention est du type comportant une gaine en acier doux (à bas carbone) et une âme en poudre comprenant du feldspath, du silicofluorure de sodium, du ferromanganèse et du ferrosilicium, et est caractérisé en ce que, outre les constituants indiqués, l'âme contient un concentré de titane réduit, la composition de l'âme étant la suivante (en poids) : feldspath 1,8 10,4 %, silicofluorure de sodium 1,6 à 10,0 %, ferromanganèse 13,0 à 20,0 %, ferrosilicium 0,6 à 1,6 %, concentré de titane réduit 58 à 83 %. L'invention s'applique notamment au soudage de structures métalliques en aciers à bas carbone et aciers faiblement alliés.
