Rollers 40, 42 attached to the platens compress the material before it passes between the platens. The cured product is pulled through the apparatus by opposed endless belts on rollers 58, 60 and 72, 74. In a modified apparatus the material is shaped by rollers to a T-shaped cross-section before passing between heated platens, and a fixed core of T- section is located between the platens to produce an article of hollow T-section.
