Centrifugal moulding apparatus for moulding reinforced tubes comprises at least one horizontal mould 1a, Fig. 1, and a feed device 5, for plastics and reinforcing material which is reciprocable longitudinally into the mould, the feed end of the mould being movable vertically but in a limited fashion, the other end being journalled at 3 on to a support 18, Fig. 3, supported on a fixed block 19. The feed end may be supported on two lower stationary rollers 13a (also Fig. 4, not shown), and an upper roller 13b vertically movable under spring pressure. The journal 3 at the other end preferably comprises a tubular member 16 fixed to and rotatable with the mould, through which extends a piston rod 20 of cylinder 24 and connected via arms 22 to cover plate 23 serving as a rear closure for the mould and as an ejector, so that the plate 23 is axially movable but rotatable with the mould. The journal 3 is supported by ball bearings 17 in member 18a. The feed device 5 may co-operate with a plurality of parallel moulds and may be suspended from a carriage 6 for reciprocal movement into and out of the moulds, carriage 6 being supported on guide 7 for transverse movement between the moulds.
