Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a method for starting a wind turbine (14), in which a sector (28) containing the actual wind direction is chosen from a plurality of sectors (31), wherein, for the sector (28), a start threshold value (32) differing from other sectors (25, 26, 27, 29, 30) from the plurality of sectors (31) is identified. A state parameter of the wind turbine (14) is compared with the start threshold value (32). An attempt to start the wind turbine (14) is initiated once the state parameter of the wind turbine (14) exceeds the start threshold value (32). The invention also relates to a wind turbine (14) suitable for carrying out the method. By virtue of the invention, a wind turbine (14) can be provided with starting properties that are adapted to certain environmental conditions.
