Sistema para el tratamiento de la escoliosis idiopática caracterizado porque comprende un dispositivo subcutáneo o submuscular programable (1) conectado mediante cableado (5) con una pluralidad de sensores (2) configurados para el registro de las señales electromiográficas y una pluralidad de estimuladores (3) configurados para la estimulación de la parte patológica de la musculatura paraespinal profunda y en donde dicho dispositivo (1) comprende medios de transmisión de datos inalámbrica, de tal forma que pueda ser programado mediante una consola externa (4) y en donde la estimulación muscular está controlada por una lógica de control que comprende un algoritmo de bucle de retroalimentación para el ajuste de la estimulación en base a los resultados obtenidos de los sensores (2) para el registro de las señales electromiográficas, y de acuerdo con un modelo músculo-esquelético, con el fin de generar un estímulo adecuado dentro un rango de tiempo establecido.
