Consta de una superficie horizontal (1) con rodapiés laterales (4) para evitar la caída de objetos, elementos tensionables (5) que la soportan, anclajes (2) que se fijan mediante pasadores (3) a cualquier peldaño de la escalera y una barandilla (9) que se ancla a la plataforma y que está reforzada con barras intermedias (14) y una pletina (15). La plataforma tiene una superficie de trabajo suficiente para un operario y sus herramientas de mantenimiento.
