Estos materiales superparamagnéticos son el resultado del ensamblado de nanopartículas de óxidos metálicos asociadas a un compuesto con efecto tensioactivo, que son aportadas por un ferrofluido no acuoso a distinto tipo de materiales sólidos, preferiblemente provistos de propiedades adsorbentes, absorbentes o de soporte de reactivos y productos.
