A circuit system for generating a stabilized power supply voltage, which, on the basis of a temperature quantity, selects an operating mode of a voltage regulator. During operation of the voltage regulator, a temperature quantity is recorded which is indicative of a quantity representing or influencing the operation of the voltage regulator.
