For providing laser cladded surfaces with low cracking risk in the laser cladded surface, whether macro or micro cracking, an iron-chromium based alloy is provided, consisting of by weight of total weight of alloy:the balance being iron (Fe) and unavoidable impurities not exceeding 0.5 wt%.
