Various embodiments provide a method for providing a user interface on the basis of a locational relation between electronic devices, and an electronic device therefor. The electronic device according to various embodiments may comprise a communication module, a display, and a processor, wherein the processor is configured to detect proximity of at least one external electronic device through the communication module, identify a locational relation with the external electronic device on the basis of the detection of the proximity of the external electronic device, share operation information and/or status information with the external electronic device, and provide an interface for each of the electronic device and the external electronic device on the basis of at least one of the locational relation, the operation information, the status information, and/or information on the number of external electronic devices.
