Zusammenfassung:	A larger amount of light generated by a light source is emitted to the interior of an accommodation chamber. Alighting device (10) provided on a side wall (8) of an accommodation chamber of a refrigerator includes a light source (3) that generates light, and a cover (6) including a light incident portion (60) on which the light generated by the light source (3) is incident. The cover (6) includes a light exit portion (63) that includes a protrusion (73) formed at a front surface facing the interior of a storage compartment, and causes light to exit to the interior of the storage compartment, and a light reflection diffusion portion (65) that is formed on the back side of the light exit portion (63) at a back surface facing the light source (3) side, includes a plurality of recesses (74) each having an inner peripheral surface, and directs light toward the protrusion (73).
