Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a method for determining a measured current value (I_Mess) of a broadband lambda probe (10), which has a Nernst cell (16) and a pump cell (14), wherein a potential difference which occurs across the Nernst cell (16) is sensed and processed by a pump current control circuit (46) to form a pump current adjustment value (I_DAC), and wherein a measured value of the electric current which flows out of an opposing electrode (20) of the pump cell (14) is acquired as a pump current measured value (I_ADC). The method is distinguished by the fact that the measured current value (I_Mess) is determined such that it can optionally be switched over as a function of the pump current adjustment value (I_DAC) or as a function of the pump current measured value (I_ADC). An independent claim relates to a control device.
