IMS REGISTRATION DURATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM, TERMINAL DEVICE, AND CHIP

An IMS registration duration management system, a terminal device, and a chip are provided. The system includes the terminal device, a first network device, and a second network device. When sending, in a first network to which the terminal device is attached, an IMS registration request to the first network device, the terminal device starts an IMS timer corresponding to the first network. If the terminal device does not receive a registration accept message from the first network device when the IMS timer corresponding to the first network reaches first specified duration, the terminal device deactivates the first network. When sending, in a second network to which the terminal device is attached, an IMS registration request to the second network device, the terminal device starts an IMS timer corresponding to the second network. If the terminal device does not receive a registration accept message from the second network device when the IMS timer corresponding to the second network reaches second specified duration, the terminal device deactivates the second network. In this way, different waiting duration may be provided for IMS registration processes in different networks, to improve user communication experience.
