CLEANING APPARATUS

Provided is a cleaning apparatus in which even if there is a level difference in a surface to be cleaned, an intake nozzle can be prevented from coming into contact with the level difference with a simple configuration, and also, the intake nozzle can be retracted to an upward position from the surface to be cleaned with a simple configuration such that the intake nozzle will not come into contact with the level difference when the cleaning apparatus moves without performing cleaning. A cleaning apparatus (10) includes a cleaning unit (30) that is kept from moving downwardly from a predetermined limit position. The apparatus body (11) includes a positioning member (61) that positions the cleaning unit (30) at the limit position. The cleaning unit (30) includes an intake nozzle (33) that is arranged at a position separated from the surface to be cleaned by a predetermined gap, a cam member (80) that holds the cleaning unit (30) at the limit position, and an operation input unit (70) that changes the limit position to a higher position by moving the cleaning unit (30) upward by operating the cam member (80).
