NASAL MASK SYSTEM

The present invention relates to a patient interface (3000) configured to deliver a supply of air at positive pressure to an entrance of a patient's airways. The patient interface comprises a nasal mask including a seal forming portion (3100) including a sealing flange (3110) constructed and arranged to form a seal on a portion of an upper lip of a patient. The seal forming portion also forms a seal on a portion of a cartilaginous framework of a patient's nose. The nasal mask further includes a plenum chamber (3200) adapted to receive a portion of the patient's nose including the pronasale, wherein the plenum chamber is pressurizable to a therapeutic pressure above ambient air pressure, wherein the plenum chamber includes an attachment region (158) configured to connect or otherwise attach to an air delivery system, wherein the plenum chamber further includes a side wall region (157) extending between the seal forming structure and the attachment region, wherein the seal forming structure and the plenum chamber are moulded in one piece, wherein the seal forming structure and the plenum chamber comprise a flexible elastomer or rubber, and wherein the nasal mask further comprises a pair of headgear connectors (156), each of the pair of headgear connectors being integrally formed with the side wall region of the plenum chamber. The patient interface further comprises a positioning and stabilising structure (3300) including a pair of side straps (115) that provide a two-point connection to the nasal mask, and wherein the positioning and stabilizing structure is constructed and arranged to be donned or removed without the pair of side straps passing inferior to the patient's ears.
