The first and second sidewall regions (400) each extend from the crown (200) and terminate into a first and second bead area (420). The first and second bead area (420) are each mounted on the first and second rim flange. Each sidewall portion (400) is preloaded in tension when mounted on the rim. The non-pneumatic tire (100) further includes a ply (500), preferably a ply (500) comprising a plurality of parallel reinforcement cords, which extends from the first bead area (420) to the second bead area (420). |
