DEVICE AND METHOD FOR FILLING CONTAINERS

The invention relates to a device (1) for processing containers (10) comprising at least one transport unit (2) for transporting the containers (10), comprising a handling device (4a) for transferring the containers (10) from the transport unit (2) into a transfer region (Xa) and for discharging said containers (10) onto the transport unit (2) in a discharge region (Ya), comprising at least one additional handling device (4b) for transferring the containers (10) from the transport unit (2) into an additional transfer region (Xb) and for discharging said containers (10) onto the transport unit (2) in an additional discharge region (Yb), wherein the handling devices (4a, 4b) each have at least one moving carrier (6a, 6b) with which the removed containers (10) can be moved on a transport path (Pa, Pb), and wherein at least one processing station (8a, 8b) is assigned to each of the handling devices (4a, 4b). According to the invention, the processing stations (8a, 8b) are filling units (8a, 8b) which at least partially fill the containers with a fluid and wherein said filling units (8a, 8b) are arranged stationarily in relation to the transport path (Pa, Pb).
