Zusammenfassung:	Provided are a moving robot and a control method thereof. The mocking robot is configured to rotate a cleaning cloth by means of a motor to move a main body and clean a floor surface. A location change of the main body is analyzed to determine a traveling state, an operation is controlled and a warning is output by detecting the absence of the cleaning cloth according to the traveling state. A notification regarding whether the cleaning cloth is installed is output to allow a user to recognize the same. An operation of the main body is stopped to prevent damages to a product and the floor surface and prevent an accident.
