This electronic musical instrument includes: a communication unit which can perform near field communication with a terminal; and a processing unit which performs a process for transmitting corresponding data at the time of receiving a reading request using the communication unit and a writing process of data to be written at the time of receiving the data to be written and a writing request for the same through the communication unit, when performing an operation according to an operation pattern including an operation for repeating, in a prescribed pattern, at least one among the transmission of a reading request for data and the transmission of the data to be written and the writing request, while the terminal is in a state in which the terminal and the electronic musical instrument are capable of near field communication.
