Zusammenfassung:	The invention comprises a cartridge for a contact-start plasma arc torch, the cartridge comprising:a nozzle (108);a swirl ring including:a hollow body (103) with a distal end (110) and a proximal end (112) extending along a longitudinal axis;a nozzle retention surface on the hollow body for securing the nozzle 108 to the hollow body (103) at the distal end through one of snap fit, crimping, or threading; andone or more gas flow openings (136) disposed at the distal end of the hollow body;a chamber (140) formed from the securing of the nozzle with the hollow body of the swirl ring; andan electrode (104) retained within the chamber (140), wherein the securing of the nozzle with the swirl ring defines a longitudinal motion of the electrode within the chamber along the longitudinal axis.The invention further comprises a method for assembling a plurality of components of a cartridge for a contact-start plasma arc torch.
