Zusammenfassung:A 3D body scanner for generating 3D body models includes a first device that includes a depth sensor for acquiring depth data of a field of view of an object to be scanned. The 3D body scanner includes a first communication interface and a control unit, which is alternatively configured for processing the depth data. The 3D body scanner includes a second device that includes a sensing component for detecting the object to be scanned. The second device is designed for sending to the control unit, an activation signal after detecting the object to be scanned. The control unit is configured to activate at least the first device upon the acquisition of the depth data.
