Zusammenfassung:	A sealed and thermally insulating tank for the storage of a fluid, integrated into a supporting structure, comprises, in succession in a thickness direction: a thermally insulating barrier mounted on the supporting structure, and a sealing membrane supported by the thermally insulating barrier, the thermally insulating barrier comprising insulating panels arranged in the form of at least two parallel rows separated by an interspace, the thermally insulating barrier comprising flat seals (77, 78) arranged in the interspace such that they are compressed between the two rows, the thermally insulating barrier further comprising at least one insert (8) arranged in a contiguity region (9) where a first flat seal (77) and a second flat seal (78) are contiguous so as to compress the insert (8) between the flat seals (77, 78) in the interspace.
