Zusammenfassung: | To prevent, in a rail vehicle, the degradation of a SiC-MOSFET occurring when power is supplied to an APS in a state in which a converter to which the SiC-MOSFET is applied is stopped. [Solution] In an electric vehicle, this power conversion device converts the AC power, which is acquired from an overhead contact line and stepped down by a transformer, to a DC power by performing the switching control of a plurality of power semiconductor elements using parasitic diodes as free-wheeling diodes. The power conversion device has a control unit for performing the drive control of the gates of the plurality of power semiconductor elements. During stopping of the electric vehicle, the control unit does not perform the switching control but conducts current in the reverse direction of the power semiconductor elements and applies a predetermined voltage pulse for converting the AC power to the DC power to the power semiconductor elements. |
