Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a rolling element bearing unit for the wheel bearing system of a vehicle, consisting of at least one tapered roller bearing (1), which comprises an inner ring (2) and an outer ring (3), between which rolling elements are arranged and are guided against retaining flanges (9, 10), which rolling elements are inserted in cage pockets of a rolling element bearing cage and are designed as tapered rollers (5), wherein: the cage pockets are delimited by end cage flanges (6, 7) and longitudinal webs (8) of the rolling element bearing cage, which longitudinal webs run between the cage flanges; in order to aid in the installation of the tapered rollers, the longitudinal webs of the rolling element bearing cage have, on facing inner sides, a chamfer, which, proceeding from the larger-diameter cage rim, extends over the whole length of the longitudinal webs while continuously increasing.
