Zusammenfassung: | An electrochromic device includes: an electrochromic element (11a, 11b, 11c, 11d, 11e, 11f, 11g) operating in at least one of a first optical characteristic state and a second optical characteristic state; a voltage applying unit (32) to apply a voltage to the electrochromic element; a controller (33) to control the voltage; and a temperature measuring device (20) to measure temperature. The controller controls the voltage applying unit (32) to apply voltage, such that the second optical characteristic state becomes constant irrespective of the measured temperature. In one embodiment, the controller (33) controls the voltage applying unit (32) so as to change a length of a period (A) in which voltage is applied to shift from a first optical characteristic state to a second optical characteristic state such that the second optical characteristic state becomes constant irrespective of the measured temperature. In one embodiment, the controller (33) controls the voltage applying unit (32) to apply a periodic fluctuation voltage periodically fluctuating in at least one period of a period (A) in which voltage is applied to shift from a first optical characteristic state to a second optical characteristic state and a period (B) in which voltage is applied to maintain the second optical characteristic state, and adjusts an application time ratio of a voltage of a relatively large value in one period of the periodic fluctuation voltage such that the second optical characteristic state becomes constant irrespective of temperature. |
