Zusammenfassung:A method for obtaining input parameters for a multiphase flow meter 2, the method using a sampling module 4 for mounting in a pipeline 18, the method comprising: opening and closing at least one of a lower valve 8 and an upper valve 10 of the sampling module 4 in order to allow fluid flow along a fluid path between a lower end of a separation chamber 6 of the sampling module 4 and the pipeline 18 and/or between an upper end of the separation chamber 6 and the pipeline 18; thereby obtaining a sample volume of fluid from the multiphase fluid in the separation chamber 6 of the sampling module 4, the separation chamber 6 having a vertical extent when in use; closing the lower valve 8 and the upper valve 10; holding the sample volume within the separation chamber 6 to allow the fluid to settle and separate; and measuring fluid properties of the settled fluid in a lower part of the separation chamber 6 using a lower sensor 12 in the lower part of the separation chamber 6 and/or measuring fluid properties of the settled fluid in an upper part of the separation chamber 6 using an upper sensor 14 in the upper part of the separation chamber 6.
