Zusammenfassung: | The group of inventions relates to the nuclear power industry. A method for the long-term storage of spent nuclear fuel consists in discharging the whole fuel without disassembling an active zone being a part of a removable unit, and placing it in a cooling and storage tank disposed in a pit having a cooling system and filled with an eutectic liquid lead-bismuth alloy, where the conditions for maintaining a liquid state of the lead-bismuth alloy and for monitoring a temperature thereof to remove afterheat are provided; the tank is removed and placed in an on-site packing container without exceeding the permissible temperature of the lead-bismuth alloy, where afterheat removal takes place until the lead-bismuth alloy solidifies in the tank; the tank is reloaded into a cask without taking any additional heat removal measures. The cooling and storage tank is also claimed. The group of inventions makes it possible to simplify and reduce the term of reloading a nuclear fuel with a high level of afterheat. |
