The first core section and the second core section are spaced apart by a gap. The sensor also includes a plurality of coil windings disposed about the core. A first coil winding is disposed proximate to the first end of the first core section; a second coil winding is disposed proximate to the second end of the first core section; a third coil winding is disposed proximate to the first end of the second core section; and a fourth coil winding is disposed proximate to a second end of the second core section. Each of the first core section and the second core section include a central portion disposed between the first and second ends that is free of coil windings. |
