Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to local positioning and, more specifically, to a method for searching and registering tags in a local positioning system. The present invention provides a method for searching tags in a local positioning system. Registration is performed in a short-distance area mode. A tag stores identification data of the local positioning system. A positioning unit stores identification data of the tag. Also, the present invention provides a method for searching tags in a local positioning system. A positioning unit broadcasts address search packets to a space of a local positioning system. A desired tag responds with a pulse. Also, the present invention provides a method for searching identification data of a tag which is not registered in a local positioning system. A positioning unit broadcasts broadcast search packets to a space of a local positioning system. Dichotomy is used in detecting identification data of a tag. The present invention can reduce power consumption by a tag and a positioning unit, and remove the redundancy of signals received from a plurality of tags.
