description The present invention relates to an adhesive barbed suture which is a barbed suture having barbs and barb grooves formed on the outer peripheral surface of a suture body. The tail end of the barb and the tail end of the barb groove, which are in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the suture body, are integrally bonded to the suture body at the same position on the outer peripheral surface of the suture body. The front end of the barb is spaced apart from the front end of the barb groove by being upwardly inclined at a certain angle on the outer peripheral surface of the suture body, and the barbs and the barb grooves are formed at regular intervals along a spiral path of the suture body. The front end of the barb is aligned in the longitudinal direction toward the axial direction of the suture body, and the front end of the barb groove is aligned in the longitudinal direction toward the spiral direction of the suture body while having a spiral angle with respect to the front end of the barb. Thus, the adhesive force of the barbed suture is maximized by means of combined biaxial stress in which stress by an external force in the axial direction applied to the front end of the barb and stress by an external force in the spiral direction applied to the front end of the barb groove are simultaneously applied.
