Zusammenfassung:A surgical instrument, comprising an elongated body extending from a proximal end to a distal end, the elongated body is tubular-shaped and has a first internal passage extending between the proximal end and the distal end, and a first tracking coil positioned adjacent to of the elongated body. The first tracking coil extends between a first end and a second end and has an overall non-linear shape to conform to a surface of the elongated body. A diameter of the first tracking coil between the first and second ends is different from a diameter at the first and second ends to maximize an amount of coil windings while minimizing a dimension of the elongated body.
