The disclosure relates to a method (700) for connecting, in particular pairing, an application (110) with at least one mobile device (120), the method (700) comprising: transmitting (701), by the application (110), a request (205) for device information to a network registry (230, 800), wherein the request (205) for device information comprises user identification information, in particular a unique reference of the user (140) to an agreement with an operator of the network registry (230); retrieving (702), by the network registry (230, 800), device information of the at least one mobile device (120) based on the user identification information, wherein the network registry (230) comprises a register (801) that allocates mobile devices (120) to users (140) based on device identification information and user identification information; transmitting (703, 207), by the network registry (230, 800), the device information of the at least one mobile device (120) to the application (110); and connecting (704, 208), in particular pairing, by the application (110) or the at least one mobile device (120), the application (110) with the at least one mobile device (120) by using the device information of the at least one mobile device (120).
