RAIL VEHICLE WITH AN OPERATOR COMPARTMENT

The invention relates to a rail vehicle with an operator compartment, having a control console (1) which comprises a control panel (10) and a console upper part (11) on the upper face with diverse display and/or actuation instruments; a plurality of electrical cabinets or panels in which components of a train protection system, a train radio, a passenger information system, and/or a vehicle controller are accommodated; and an operator compartment partition (5) for separating the operator compartment from an adjoining passenger interior (4) of the rail vehicle. The operator compartment partition (5) is free of electrical cabinets or panels on both sides, and the electrical cabinets or panels are combined into an electrical cabinet assembly (7, 8) which is arranged laterally to the control console (1) and extends vertically at least from a floor of the operator compartment up to above the uppermost vertical level of the console upper part (11).
